Nigerian Star Ruger Confirms First-Ever Malawi Performance at Gwamba’s Show

Nigerian artist Ruger has confirmed that he will be coming to Malawi for the first time to perform at a music show organised by local artist Gwamba.

Ruger confirmed his visit through a video message, where he assured Malawian fans that he is ready to bring an unforgettable performance. The event is scheduled to take place on 1 August 2026 in Lilongwe, and more supporting artists are expected to be announced soon.

The Nigerian star is well known for hit songs such as “Girlfriend,” “Bounce,” “Dior,” and “Asiwaju.” Many Malawian fans are already saying they are excited and hoping he will perform these popular tracks live on stage.

Ruger is known for his energetic performances and unique stage presence, which has made him one of Africa’s fast-rising music stars. His visit is expected to attract a huge crowd, especially young music lovers who follow his Afrobeat sound.

Speaking to Times, Gwamba said people should expect a big and high-quality event. He promised fans a well-organised show that will match international standards.
