Search for Miss Malawi 2026 Officially Begins

Organisers of the Miss Malawi beauty pageant have officially started the search for a young woman who will be crowned Miss Malawi 2026.



According to a statement released on their official platforms, young women who believe they have what it takes to be a beauty queen are encouraged to apply. The organisers are calling on confident girls, including those often told by others, “you were born beautiful,” to register for the competition.

Interested applicants are required to register before 31 March, 2026.

The Miss Malawi pageant has regained its popularity and impact in recent years, especially following last year’s successful edition. In 2025, the winner, Thandie Chisi, walked away with K50 million, while the first and second runners-up shared K12 million.

Organisers say the competition continues to offer young women a platform for empowerment, confidence building, and national representation.

With the search now open, many young women across the country are expected to register as they compete for the prestigious Miss Malawi crown this year.

 The question of why Malawi is still not fully eligible for content monetization on major digital platforms has continued to worry many content creators in the country. While several African countries have already unlocked monetization opportunities, Malawi remains behind, raising concerns among local digital creators.
