Onesimus Appeals for Help as Musician Dave Seeks Cancer Treatment in India

Malawian musician Onesimus has made a heartfelt appeal for support to help fellow artist Dave, who is currently battling cancer.

After consulting medical specialists, the family was advised to seek treatment in India, as Dave requires SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy) — a highly targeted form of radiation therapy used to treat pulmonary nodules. This type of treatment is not available in Malawi.

Doctors in India have quoted USD 17,500 to cover Dave’s medical treatment and related expenses. Unfortunately, this amount is far beyond what the family can afford on their own.

Because of this, Onesimus has stepped forward to humbly ask the public for financial support to help Dave access the life-saving treatment he urgently needs.

The appeal has touched many hearts, with supporters encouraged to assist in any way they can to give Dave a chance to receive proper medical care.

 The question of why Malawi is still not fully eligible for content monetization on major digital platforms has continued to worry many content creators in the country. While several African countries have already unlocked monetization opportunities, Malawi remains behind, raising concerns among local digital creators.
