Amapiano Star Xduppy Lights Up Illusionz Nightclub in Lilongwe

There was excitement at Illusionz Entertainment Centre in Lilongwe over the weekend as popular Amapiano producer and DJ, Xduppy, delivered a thrilling live performance.
Xduppy, who comes from South Africa, the home of Amapiano music, arrived in Malawi a few days ago through Kamuzu International Airport. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Malawi’s own “Mayor of Amapiano,” a key figure in promoting the genre locally.
With his arrival, Xduppy became the first South African Amapiano artist to officially perform at Illusionz this year, marking a strong start to international performances at the venue in 2026.
For music lovers who may be asking who Xduppy is, he is well known for hit songs that have made waves in the Amapiano scene. During his performance, he played popular tracks including “Abantwana Bakho,” a song he worked on with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.
He also thrilled fans with “Ngibolekeni,” a collaboration featuring Scotts Maphuma, DJ Maphorisa, Leemckrazy, and Sean1401.
The night was filled with energy as fans danced to authentic Amapiano sounds straight from South Africa. Xduppy’s performance showed the growing love for Amapiano music in Malawi and strengthened the connection between Malawian and South African music scenes.
Many fans described the night as unforgettable, with Illusionz once again proving to be one of the top entertainment spots in the capital city.
