African Stars Compete for Top Music Awards at the Grammys

Five African music stars — Davido, Burna Boy, Tyla, Ayra Starr, and Eddy Kenzo — are among artists competing for top music awards at the Grammy Music Awards.
The globally recognized artists are expected to receive their awards tonight, 1 February, during the Grammy ceremony taking place in Los Angeles, United States of America.
However, for viewers in Malawi, the event will be broadcast after 2:00 AM on 2 February due to the time difference.
The Grammy Awards celebrate the best music from around the world, and the inclusion of African artists shows the growing global impact of African music.
Meanwhile, in terms of the highest number of nominations, Kendrick Lamar is leading the list. He has been nominated in nine categories, making him one of the top contenders of the night.
Following closely are Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut, who each received seven nominations across different categories.
Music fans across Africa and the world are eagerly waiting to see which artists will take home the prestigious awards, as the Grammys continue to highlight global talent from different regions.
