Afana Ceez Teams Up with Gwamba in New Song “Timapanga”

Malawian artist Afana Ceez, who impressed many music lovers with different songs last year, has started this year strongly after releasing a new track titled “Timapanga,” featuring rapper Gwamba.

Speaking about the new release, Afana Ceez said he made “Timapanga” as a way of paying tribute to a music legend, Annie Matumbi.

He explained that the song was inspired by Annie Matumbi’s classic hit “Chidikhodikho,” which she performed with Vic Marley. The old song talks about real life and the daily struggles people face.

With “Timapanga,” Afana Ceez and Gwamba have delivered a song that mixes modern style with a message that connects with everyday Malawians.

While several African countries have already unlocked monetization opportunities, Malawi remains behind, raising concerns among local digital creators.
