Poet Isaac Kadankowa Wins Malawi Has Talent Season II, Takes home 35 Million Kwacha

 Poet Isaac Kadankowa has been crowned the winner of Malawi Has Talent Season II, a competition organized by Goshen City. Kadankowa emerged as the overall champion and walked away with a grand prize of K35 million during the final event held at the Apollo Auditorium in Blantyre.

Kadankowa impressed both judges and the audience with a powerful poem about Malawi and its social challenges, including issues such as corruption. When his name was announced as the winner, he broke down in tears of joy, showing how emotional and meaningful the moment was for him.

“I never knew that this day would come in my life, but all the honour and praise go to God,” said Kadankowa.

The final event attracted a large crowd and was free for the public. It was also made exciting by performances from musician Onesimus and poet Nyamalikiti Nthiwatiwa, who entertained the audience during the show.

The Malawi Has Talent competition is organized by Times Group through its television station, Times TV, with support from Goshen City, led by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

Bushiri expressed his happiness with the talent displayed during the competition and said Goshen City will continue supporting and promoting talent in Malawi.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Patricia Wiskes, praised Bushiri, Goshen City, and Times Group for bringing the competition, saying it plays an important role in developing young talent in the country.

The victory marks a major milestone in Isaac Kadankowa’s artistic journey and highlights the growing power of poetry and creative talent in Malawi
