According to the statement, the artists’ participation brought excitement and pride to the event, making the celebration more meaningful for Malawians who live far from home.
“The presence of our artists helped to strengthen unity, promote Malawian culture, and inspire togetherness among Malawians living in Beijing,” reads part of the statement.
The association holds its annual celebration every year as a way of bringing Malawians together, celebrating their culture, and strengthening social ties within the diaspora community.

This year’s event also received support from several companies, including Gensun, Lasuo, and Pakistan Affiliated Culture. These companies showcased and explained some of the products they manufacture, adding an educational and business aspect to the celebration.
The organisers described the event as a success, saying it not only entertained guests but also created a platform for cultural exchange and networking among Malawians and international partners.
The participation of Malawian artists in such international community events continues to highlight the growing influence of Malawi’s creative industry beyond the country’s borders, while also helping to keep Malawian culture alive among citizens living abroad.
